Creating a website is one part of the job. Bringing visitors to that website is another part. SEO is key for that part. Businesses need a chance to show up in search results when people look for a product or service. This project taught me how to use keywords, on-page SEO and content optimization. I saw how to spread keywords across the site of stuffing them. I aimed to make content for the person who visits the website. SEO in the picture is about pleasing search engines but really it is about creating content that feels natural to real people. SEO takes time. The reward is worth the wait. It is about making steady changes that boost your search visibility, not, about big sweeping moves.
WordPress Website Development
For this project, I decided to use WordPress. It’s great for using a robust tool to build websites, along with the flexibility to edit content without the painstaking task of total website rebuilds. The main body of this project was the development of the page layout, navigation and the responsive design. The pages must be constructed in a way that works great for both desktop and mobile computing. The most important part to consider was ease of use when managing the site. A site looks great when launched, but it loses customers quick if it is hard to manage and update. I built a good understanding of the design, content and functionality when considering each element for WordPress website construction.
